Because of the way the
shopping cart shipping charges have to be structured, there is sometimes what
seems like and is too much charged for shipping. CDE is not trying to make
a profit on shipping your order. If the shopping cart shipping charges
exceed actual cost of shipping the difference will be refunded to you. The
exception to this are items that require the use of special shipping containers
(SOP and CrateMate Jr.). Then the cost of the special container is added

The Anchor Trolley
Kits have been updated with ZigZag Cleats instead of the
3" Open Base Cleats used in the past. The ZigZag
Cleats can be mounted with rivets making an extremely
secure installation. Instructions are included for
the installation of the ZigZag Cleats.
The CaptDick Anchor
Trolley Kit provides the precise positioning of your kayak needed to catch
spooky fish. Complete, easy to follow instructions are included along with
the necessary hardware for a professional installation. The trolley can be
used on either side of your kayak or removed when not needed. You may use
an anchor, stakeout pole, or drift chute with the anchor trolley. 4MM polyester
line with reflective thread is used in this kit. Because
of the many requests for an Anchor Trolley Kit to install both a right and left
trolley it is now available as a stock item. The ATK-2Z will contain the
additional items required to install right and left trolleys. As this
sport continues to grow, our products are changing to meet our customers needs.
We are now offering four (4) Anchor Trolley Kits to service the different length
kayaks that are being used. There is a growing popularity of longer yaks
15 to 16 feet and our original ATK-1 does not contain long enough line to
properly install the kit. We are now offering the ATK-1Z, ATK-1ZL(ong),
ATK-2Z and ATK-2ZL(ong). The ATK-1Z and ATK-2Z will fit up to 14 Ft Kayaks and
the L(ong) will fit up to 16 Ft Kayaks. There is 28 ft of line in the
standard kits and 32 ft of line in the long kits. The ATK's will add to
the success of your kayak fishing. Be sure to check out our other kayak
fishing accessories. Another supplier of
kayak fishing stuff is advertising a cheap and easy to install anchor trolley.
The primary features of their kit, other than being cheap, are having to only drill one fastener hole
per end, and if you use a padeye (2 holes) it will wear through from
friction. The CaptDick ATK's use a padeye that requires 2 rivet holes for
a purpose. That purpose is strength and reliability. A single
attachment point will eventually fail and pull out of the poly hull due to
stress cycles and working of the single fastener in the poly hull. There are
considerable side loads on these attachment points. This will not happen
to a padeye secured by 2 fasteners. The CaptDick Kit includes 2 SS
Carabiners that the trolley line actually runs through. The padeyes are
not subjected to rubbing friction from the trolley line. The CaptDick kit
also includes 2 ZigZag cleats and enough hardware to install a cleat and set
of padeyes on BOTH sides of the kayak. There are occasions when it may be
desirable to move the trolley to the opposite side of the kayak. Just
unclip the carabiners and reattach the trolley on the other side when needed.
The extremely reflective line used in CaptDick kits adds an extra margin of
safety when fishing in low light conditions or at night. Cheap and easy is
not always the best solution.

The
ATK-1HZ contains 2 Harken SS Cheek Blocks (pulleys) for
greater ease in positioning. This kit is
especially adaptable to the Ocean Kayak Big Game kayaks
due to the flat gunnels. However, the kit works as
well on other model kayaks. It is very smooth, silent
and easy to use.
The
SS Cheek Blocks eliminate the need for separate padeyes,
carabiners and pulleys required with the standard CDE
Anchor Trolley Kits in order to add pulleys. This
ATK-1HZ is not moveable from one side of your kayak to
the other as are the standard kits. Fits kayaks up
to 14 feet long.
Stainless Steel Pulley with 1 inch Nylon
Sheave for up to 1/4 inch line. Some yakfishermen like to add these to the Anchor Trolley Kit for easier positioning. There are 2 pulleys per
package.
Harken SS ball
bearing pulley can be used in place of a padeye, carabiner, and the
SSP-2 pulleys on your Anchor Trolley Kit. These can riveted using
the RIV-10S rivets or fastened using SS hardware if you have access
inside your yak to install the nuts and washers.

larger opening for the line is oriented the right way before setting the
rivets.

BALL ANCHOR SYSTEM KIT
This anchoring system
was conceived and designed by "Blakfly" a
www.Paddlezone.net forum member and avid kayak flyfisherman. Blakfly
states,"this system allows me to quickly and quietly position my kayak and
prevent it from swinging in the current or wind". This system is used in
shallow lagoons and on flats where water depth is minimal. The clam cleats
allow adjustment of the anchor line fore and aft. This system offers a
less expensive alternative to the CDE StakeOutPole and Anchor Trolley Kit.
The kit is available with inline clam cleats or side mount clam cleats.
The side mount cleats are a little easier to mount with rivets than the inline
cleats, otherwise there is no difference in function. It is suggested you
obtain the weights used for the anchors locally because of shipping costs.
Downrigger balls can be used in the lighter weights. The Ball Anchor Kit will increase the success of
